Freshwater handles sheltered housing account

Housing campaign group the ­Essential Role of Sheltered Housing (ERoSH) is launching its first consumer focused promotional activity this week.

The new campaign, called ‘I lead a sheltered life’, is being handled by Freshwater Wales, incorporating media relations, online PR and advertising acti­vity.

Freshwater account manager Lyndsey Jenkins said the campaign aimed to encourage the Government to take action over the shortage of housing in the sector, as well as increase interest in sheltered housing among  those in their 50s.

She said: ‘What we hope will happen is that the campaign will help create more demand and therefore more pressure on the Government for more sheltered housing.’

Media activity for the campaign includes the release of research showing the extent of shortages in sheltered housing,  as well as case studies showing that living within such housing has helped rather than hampered their life.
