Blackberry stalls collapsing deal
Last week, the diary reported the collapsing of the building housing the Metropolitan Police Authority. Now it emerges that Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) media manager Rob Holdsworth was working in a nearby building that had also to be evacuated - an unfortunate occurrence because the EOC was 'slap bang in the middle of a sell-in for a new report and launch event with David Cameron.'
However, an undeterred Holdsworth took himself outside, fired up the old BlackBerry, took out his notepad and conducted his business from a bench behind Victoria Street in central London.
And the subject of the EOC report? The future of work, with a top line that anyone and everyone can work flexibly.
Good to see a Government department practising what it preaches.
