Building collapse has a silver lining

The terrifying prospect of a building collapsing around your ears was realised last week by the press office team at the Metropolitan Police Authority.

The team, along with staff on the Hazel Blears Labour deputy leadership campaign, were promptly turfed out of their building near New Scotland Yard when the disaster struck last week.

But it is said that with every cloud comes a silver lining - and so it has proved. For during the active cricket season and with Wimbledon fast approaching, members of the press team are now safely ensconced in their own homes - because their building is still too dangerous to work in. Lovely.
