The charity hired Bell Pottinger Business and Brand following a four-way pitch. The initial brief is to support the brand’s relaunch.
The agency will concentrate on raising Employment Opportunities’ media profile, building a comprehensive case study library and finding ways to illustrate to employers the wide benefits of employing individuals with disabilities.
Bell Pottinger will focus on the charity’s work with graduates and its internship programmes, which are run in conjunction with large City institutions including Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers and UBS.
Agency MD Kevin Read will lead the account. He said: ‘We will be delivering a strong message to potential employers about the untapped human resource among people with disabilities, as well as reaching out to those looking to find fulfilling employment.’
Karin Pappenheim, CEO of Employment Opportunities, added: ‘Bell Pottinger’s challenge is to support Employment Opportunities in promoting the benefits of an inclusive workplace – helping employers see ability, rather than disability.’
Employment Opportunities has 13 regional centres and has headquarters in London. The charity was founded in 1980 by ten City of London employers.
Bell Pottinger Business and Brand works with a range of voluntary sector clients, including the John Templeton Foundation, Green Cross International and Media Trust.
