Etihad reviews comms account

United Arab Emirates national carrier Etihad Airways is reviewing its in-house and agency comms under the auspices of V-P of corporate comms and former British Airways PR chief Iain Burns.

He has poached two of his former BA team – communications manager Leo Seaton and deputy head of internal communications Paul Parry – to work in-house as head of media relations and head of internal comms, respectively.

He is also reviewing Etihad’s global agency requirements. The £1m global account is currently held by Fleishman-Hillard.

Burns joined Etihad at the beginning of the year, after he resigned from BA following price-fixing allegations.
