2 MINUTES WITH: Maria Milano, editor, www.InStylemagazine.co.uk

Newly launched InStylemagazine.co.uk is already garnering healthy traffic. Maria Milano explains why.

What does it do?
The online magazine provides readers with an inside view of celebrity style. On the website, we
let our readers in on the tips from make-up artists, hairdressers and stylists that help create celebrities’ looks. We also step beyond the red carpet and provide behind-the-scenes coverage of VIP events. We target ABC1 women with a median age of 30 years.

What type of features ideas make it on to the website?
Most features that we publish have a celebrity angle. Examples include what a celebrity is wearing (Look of the Day), exclusive party photos, getting the celebrity look for less (Look for Less) and where to get hold of the dress/handbag/sunglasses of a celebrity (Where Can I Find... ). We have tips and ‘how-to’s from celebrity hairstylists, make-up artists and stylists and we also showcase designer or stylish items available to buy online in our Hot Buys section.

Any specific advice for PROs?
We don’t feature news pieces or salacious gossip. Although we compete with sites such as Glamour.com and Handbag.com, our offering differs in that it’s very targeted – we only cover celebrity style. Thanks to the magazine and the US website, we also offer unique behind-the-scenes access via our party coverage and video sections, which gives us access to events such as the Golden Globes and the Oscars.

How do you prefer to be contacted?
We publish content on a daily basis. Fashion/beauty PRs can put me on mailing lists when a celeb is spotted wearing or using an item from their range. Otherwise, they can send relevant press releases via email.
