Patricia Dessert joins next week from Axon Communications to lead the agency’s global work for Roche’s breast cancer product Herceptin.
She will also lead the European and UK teams on the agency’s work for Intrinsa, Procter & Gamble’s testosterone patch to treat sexual dysfunction.
Meanwhile, Charlotte James joins from Shire Health PR next month to handle global work on Roche’s Tamiflu – weeks after Ketchum picked up the account (PRWeek, 2 May).
James is expected to concentrate on the government relations side of the account.
She will also lead the UK account for Amgen and Wyeth’s psoriasis treatment Enbrel.
Both Dessert and James will join as account directors. Dessert is currently account director at Axon Communications. Before that, she was at Huntsworth Health.
James is account director at Shire Health, where she has worked on Nicorette and an account for the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry.
Both will report to director Sebastian Desprez, who manages Ketchum’s healthcare practice. He said the team would also be expanding into areas such as clinical trial recruitment.
‘We also want to pitch for additional compounds that Roche has in the pipeline for cancer,’ Desprez added.
