Letter - Political spectrum is not just three parties

You have to take your hat off to CAFOD for getting Tony Blair, David Cameron and Menzies Campbell to do YouTube shorts backing the Darfur appeal (25 May). Was it just me, though, who found the 'all three parties' line jarring in PRWeek's coverage?

We've got an SNP first minister here in Scotland, a DUP first minister in Northern Ireland, a Plaid Cymru leader in Wales, plus Greens elected to the Scottish and European parliaments.

For much of the UK, a political PR strategy will sound very 1980s if it doesn't cover more of the full political spectrum. I'm sure all these other parties would have been happy to take part if invited, and so the campaign could have reached a much wider constituency.
