Trust’s PA chief unveils strategy

The Energy Saving Trust’s first head of government affairs has outlined her priorities for the next six months.

Jennifer Powers was previously issues manager at Nestlé UK. She joined the body this week and is charged with bolstering its relations with government.

She said: ‘Challenges over the next six months include building relationships with the Brown administration and the new administrations in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, the comprehensive spending review and the energy white paper.’

Powers reports to chief executive Philip Sellwood and has one member of staff reporting to her parliamentary manager Karen Potter.
