The trade body put the business out to pitch last month, having used Fishburn Hedges for the past six years (PRWeek, 11 May). Fishburn Hedges declined to repitch for the business.
The BMF has almost 1,600 members representing an industry employing more than 35,000. Its members span the leisure, hire fleet, commercial workboat and superyacht sectors and support services.
AS Biss will lobby on the recently published Marine Bill, as well as helping the industry to capitalise on the London 2012 Olympics. The account will be led by senior consultant Jonathan Lomax.
