Surbiton-based tech and education agency Livewire Public Relations has been advertising on boards outside five south-west London stations this week. The agency's HR and general manager Liz Walkling is hoping it can tap into the latent commuting-hatred of residents of Wimbledon, Putney, Weybridge, Richmond and Surbiton.
'Experience has shown that the commute makes a big difference to people,' says Walkling. 'We wanted people who wouldn't have to travel to our office from the other side of London and thought we could probably capitalise on local expertise.'
The 12 responses she has garnered so far show that the south-west London suburbs are awash with PROs. What's next? Agency MDs approaching likely-looking candidates in the street? Recruitment agencies taking stands at Glastonbury?
