Maitland picked up the account after defeating an approach last November from Springer Science & Business Media which it believed undervalued it at £2.7bn. Maitland senior consultant William Clutterbuck heads the Informa account.
Datamonitor is using Hudson Sandler, its retained agency for the past six years. Hudson Sandler director Nick Lyon heads the account. The agency confirmed the deal’s completion will see the end of the relationship.
Informa said it expected to save three million pounds in annual costs through the deal.
