Stone joins RSPB in parliament job

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) has hired a new senior parliamentary officer.

Danny Stone was previously political advisor to Lord Janner of Braunstone QC. He has also worked as director of Coexistence Trust, a political inter-faith initiative, and at the Union of Jewish Students as campaigns director.

He will now be in charge of marine, forestry and water policies for the RSPB, and will report in to head of government affairs Sally Webber.

He will divide his time between the charity’s headquarters in Bedfordshire and London.

Stone replaces Ben Stafford who joined the Campaign to Protect Rural England in mid-April.

The RSPB is the largest wildlife conservation organisation in Europe with over one million members.
