Fiddian-Green: takes new role

Fiddian-Green resigned from Red Door Communications before Christmas, after just six months as director of global healthcare (PRWeek, 23 February).

Her move increases the number of healthcare directors at Cohn & Wolfe from four to five. She reports to divisional MD Jacinta Collins and will be responsible primarily for international accounts.

The other healthcare directors at Cohn & Wolfe are Fiona McMillan, Jo Spadaccino and Jeremy Clark. Fiddian-Green said: ‘We are currently establishing which accounts I’ll be working on.’

Cohn & Wolfe formerly held Roche’s Tamiflu account for seven years but decided not to contest the competing recent pitch for the anti-flu drug (PRWeek, 4 May).

Catherine Warne, MD of Red Door, said that Fiddian-Green, who was on the agency’s board, would not be directly replaced.

Red Door has 11 people working on international business and wants to double that within the next 18 months.

Warne said: ‘We’re growing and are actively recruiting for a business unit director, which is a slightly more junior role below board director.’

Fiddian-Green worked just over half of her six-month notice period at Red Door and had a break before joining Cohn & Wolfe at the end of April.

She had joined Red Door from Manning Selvage & Lee, where she had worked since 2002 and was a director. She said that she preferred working in a multinational environment. ‘It’s the sort of structure that I was used to over at MS&L and I really wanted to go back into that.’
