THC trumpeted its experience in areas such as wellness and recycling at pitches towards the end of March. It is understood that both issues are top of the PR agenda for the soft-drinks firm. The agency beat four unnamed rivals to the business.
THC MD Loretta Tobin leads the account, reporting to CCE Europe comms director Shannna Wendt and Coca-Cola Great Britain director of corporate identity, public affairs and comms Lauren Branston.
Tobin told PRWeek that the agency's regional network should prove useful for ‘communicating the importance of CCE's footprint in factories and delivery centres throughout Britain'.
The business was put up for grabs in February when the soft-drinks giant parted company with 15-year incumbent Weber Shandwick (PRWeek, 16 February) after the agency worked on a brief to promote milk in the US.
The UK trade brief was recently handed to small Camden-based agency Mercieca PR (PRWeek, 30 March).
Coca-Cola continues to work with Lexis PR and Burson-Marsteller for its consumer activity. According to a report this week, Coca-Cola plans to roll out a Belgian water brand, three years after scrapping its Dasani water brand.
