The brief will focus initially on promoting Multimap's soon to be relaunched website to consumers. A date for the relaunch is yet to be decided. Longer term, Pleon will also target B2B audiences -important to Multimap as it provides maps to many other websites.
Multimap marketing communications manager Aoibhinn Lawlor said audiences would include ‘web developers, marketing directors, consumers, advertisers and bloggers'.
The account is led by Pleon UK consumer and creative director Eva Keogan. It is yet to be decided which other territories the account will stretch to. Multimap offers street-level maps of several countries and cities in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US.
Pleon is Multimap's first agency since 2003.
