Davies has been at Global Government Relations, part of law firm DLA Piper, for seven years, rising to the position of director.
It is the second time that Bircham Dyson Bell, which opened a public affairs arm in 2004, has raided the agency. It previously persuaded director Stuart Thomson to join as senior public affairs consultant (PRWeek, 27 October 2005).
In the new role, Davies will report to Jonathan Bracken, partner and head of public policy at Bircham Dyson Bell.
Also handling public affairs for Bircham Dyson Bell are partner Robbie Owen, and PR and comms consultant David Flynn, as well as parliamentary monitoring staff.
Davies starts in the role later this month.
