Hit or miss ... Ferry's folly

Marks & Spencer found itself in the news for the wrong reasons this week when its menswear model Bryan Ferry described Nazi architecture as 'just amazing' in a German newspaper. LD Communications - which represents Roxy Music - hastily issued an apologetic statement on Ferry's behalf. Meanwhile, M&S welcomed Ferry's 'clarification and unreserved apology' and stressed that it did not endorse his personal views. But none of this stopped the press reporting on 'outrage' felt by customers and management of M&S.
