Sreenivasan has worked at the record label for almost nine years and currently represents Girls Aloud, Scissor Sisters and Eminem.
It is expected that he will retain some of his high-profile clients at Supersonic, and two staff are believed to be lined up to join the agency soon after its launch in May.
At Polydor, he reports to Universal/Polydor communications director Selina Webb. She described Sreenivasan as a ‘fantastic strategic PR who will make the same success of his new venture as he has at Polydor'.
Also in the world of celebrity PR, Jade Goody has brought in a new PR advisers after splitting with John Noel Management - with whom she had been since first shooting to fame in 2003.
Goody has turned to Austin O'Brien Communications director and former tabloid journalist Sean O'Brien. O'Brien - who handled PR for Jade's mother Jackie Goody after she appeared on Living TV show Extreme Makeover - worked for The Sunday Mirror, News of The World and The Sunday People before his new career.
He said that he had been ‘in discussions' about TV work for Goody and added that she had received ‘countless interview requests'.
In a statement, John Noel Management said it wished Goody the best.
But it added: ‘We couldn't agree on a strategy moving forward and subsequently made the decision to part company with Jade.'
