Brunswick to advise Mitie

FTSE 250 firm Mitie has brought in Brunswick as its first financial agency.

Mitie services, maintains and manages buildings and occasionally branches out into wider areas such as call centre work. It is famous for being the company that cleans the Crown jewels.

Brunswick partner Jonathan Glass heads the account, reporting to Mitie head of corporate affairs John Telling. Brunswick's first task will be to announce company results on 21 May.

Mitie is actively acquisitive. Earlier this month it purchased plumbing firm Robert Prettie & Co via its holding firm Jabez Holdings for £8.6m.

The company moniker stands for ‘Management Incentive Through Investment Equity', and its unique business model sees employees own a substantial minority stake in the business itself.
