Templeton brings in Bell Pottinger

One of the world's largest charitable foundations has brought in Bell Pottinger Business & Brand to promote the winner of its latest £800,000 prize.

The Philadelphia-based John Templeton Foundation, which was formed by the eponymous billionaire in 1987, awards a prize always slightly larger than equivalent Nobel awards to those involved in advancing non-denominational spiritual study.

BP Business & Brand will promote 2007 winner, Canadian philosopher Charles Taylor, and the Foundation's major research interests as well as a ceremony later this year.

The prize will be handed over by Prince Philip.

Professor Taylor, 75, is a Canadian philosopher who for nearly half a century has argued that problems such as violence and bigotry can only be solved by considering both their secular and spiritual dimensions.
