Interlace buyout in need of PROs

The holding company for Wells Healthcare Communications and Quantum Medical Communications has been bought by its management.

Interlace Global now plans to hire more PROs. Former director Mark Forbes Irving, who has become MD in the MBO, said: ‘The core business is med ed and supporting pre-launch work for major global brands, but clients do ask for PR so we're recruiting.'

Wells specializes in medical comms, while Quantum works with clients on ‘pharmacovigilance'. The latter is the process by which medicines are monitored for any adverse patient effects both pre- and post-launch.

Wells and Quantum have 33 staff between them.

Andrew Wright, who was majority shareholder of both companies, will continue as a director of the Tunbridge Wells-based outfit.
