Fair-trade retailer Sandbag in hire

Ethical merchandise brand Sandbag has taken on Leeds-based Finn as it prepares to launch its first own-label products.

The five-year-old firm supplies T-shirts and other merchandise for bands, charities and NGOs, but is branching out with a Sandbag-branded fashion label.

Finn has been briefed to position the Sandbag brand as a ‘credible conscience fashion label in its own right', and to support the launch of a range of organic and fair-trade garments.

As well as supplying goods to charities such as Make Trade Fair, Live 8 and Make Poverty History, the company has also provided clothing to rock bands REM and Radiohead.

Finn MD Richard Rawlins said the agency's work with ethical brands such as tissue maker Nouvelle had helped it tosecure the account.
