GHD puts haircare brief up for grabs

Haircare brand GHD is to tender for a new consumer agency after holding meetings with London and Manchester-based firms.

Jemella-owned GHD currently uses full-service ad agency Propaganda, including its PR arm Revolver Communications.

But later this month it will replace them with TBWA/BDH.

Propaganda director of corporate PR Nick Blythe said the agency had resigned the account ‘from the perspective of our own integrity' because it felt GHD's ‘business strategy was not right for the brand'.

Last year, GHD, which stands for Good Hair Day, was named Britain's fastest growing company in the Fast Track 100 awards, with annual growth of 365 per cent since its 2001 launch.
