Kwaszenko takes Virgin Atlantic job

Virgin Atlantic has hired a manager for competition and regulatory affairs to lobby on issues such as emissions trading, price capping and access to major airports.

Georgina Kwaszenko has had a baptism of fire - Virgin Atlantic this week joined forces with British Airways lobbyists to oppose the proposed ‘open skies' deal.

Kwaszenko replaces Vanessa Tamms, who left last summer to join the BBC (PRWeek, 29 June 2005).

She reports to the airline's director of external affairs and route development Barry Humphries. She was previously project manager for a large-scale regeneration project in Lancashire.
