Brunswick sat just ahead of Finsbury and last month's table topper Financial Dynamics.
The leader worked on more than £14bn worth of deals - including Vodafone's £5.69bn swoop for a 67 per cent stake in Indian mobile firm Hutchinson Essar. Brunswick worked with Hutchinson, while Finsbury advised Vodafone.
The pair also advised the Thomas Cook and MyTravel merger, with Finsbury employed by the former.
In third place, Financial Dynamics worked with Wilson Bowden as housebuilder Barratt Homes made a £2.2bn bid. Weber Shandwick Financial, in fourth, counselled Barratt.
Owen Blicksilver PR (fifth), made one of its occasional forays into the Deal Watch chart. It advised private equity company Texas Pacific as it sold Hellas Telecommunications to Weather Investments for £2.2bn.
Texas Pacific founder David Bonderman publicly defended the firm last month as the private equity industry suffered allegations of ‘asset stripping'.
In sixth place, The Ruth Group advised New River Pharmaceuticals on its £1.3bn acquisition by Shire. Financial Dynamics advised the latter firm.
Tulchan Communications (seventh) handled the IPO of Sports Direct.
In eighth position, M: Communications advised French buyout shop Eurazeo as it completed an institutional buyout.
The deal put M just ahead of Bell Pottinger Corporate & Financial and Merlin - in ninth and tenth positions respectively - which between them worked on 13 deals, worth just over £1bn in total.
