Anthony Nolan to beef up marcoms

The Anthony Nolan Trust is on the hunt for its first-ever marketing and comms director as it bids to raise its profile.

The appointee will be responsible for stakeholder and media relations, taking charge of a four-strong marcoms team.

Current comms manager Robert Spigel will report to the marcoms director, who in turn will report to chief executive Steve McEwan.

The trust is planning to fill the £60,000 role before the summer.

Anthony Nolan Trust operates a bone-marrow donor register. It has helped more than 5,800 patients since it was set up in 1974.

In 2006, the charity was chosen as the Flora London Marathon Official Charity of the Year. Last November, the organisation ran its first awareness week.
