The internet-based business, which is headquartered in the Oxfordshire town of Abingdon, has turned to Oxford-based agency Brazil to build its national profile via media relations.

Founded almost a decade ago, also des­cribes itself as ‘Europe's largest provider of accredited, online med ed'.

It provides ‘direct comms' electronically to more than 135,000 UK-based doctors. Its aim is to improve healthcare, describing itself as ‘by doctors, for doctors'.

Brazil MD Joshua Van Raalte leads a team reporting to founder and CEO Dr Neil Bacon. Van Raalte said the agency would aim to raise the profile of Bacon and the business itself via an ongoing campaign. will be promoted as ‘a successful professional networking operation and web 2.0-enabled site'. Brazil will also use the network of doctors to undertake ‘bespoke surveys', the results of which will be offered to national press. was previously promoted by Surrey-based tech specialist The ITPR Group, which ceased to represent the company last year after a relationship of around 13 months.
