Walsall regen body in review

Walsall Regeneration Company (WRC) has put a £300,000 brief up for grabs.

The account is designed to raise the profile of the West Midlands town regionally and nationally, and to attract residents and businesses.

he remit also includes promoting existing projects and developments, strategic advice, design services, e-comms and stakeholder relations.

Existing projects include the development of a £100m business and learning campus, which will include a college and Tesco supermarket. Regeneration in the area began with The New Art Gallery, which opened in 2000 at a cost of £21m.

Walsall has for three years used Seal Communications. Account director Nigel Pipkin, who reports to WRC chief executive Dr Peter Cromar, said the agency would repitch for the work.

The new contract will potentially span three years, with a review at the end of each year.

WRC – which represents English Partnerships, Walsall Council and regional development agency Advantage West Midlands – wants to attract more than £700m of public and private investment over the next decade.
