Lawton will advise NetRegs and implement an industry-wide campaign aimed at the construction sector, which will soon be subject to new waste-management legislation.
In 2008, Site Waste Management Plans (SWMPs) will become law for all projects costing more than £200,000.
The law will seek to enable better management of the 13 million tonnes of unused building material that is discarded as waste every year.
Lawton will work on a series of road shows at Travis Perkins branches, and a national, regional and trade media relations campaign.
NetRegs said that it wants more businesses in the construction sector to subscribe to its email alert service to ensure they are fully informed on SWMPs.
