GBCS Public Relations will promote the 28th ICR Annual Conference and Exhibition, which takes place from 27-28 March at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham.
Entitled ‘Clinical Research – Raising the Profile and Challenging the Boundaries’, the event is expected to attract more than 1,200 attendees from across the pharma industry, academia and health service sector.
Dr Nikki Panoskaltsis, a medic who treated patients during the disastrous TeGenero drugs trial in North-West London last year, will give a talk on ‘The Future of Phase I Trials: Learning from TNG1412’.
Nottingham-based GBCS will manage an online press office prior to the event and provide on-site press office support during the conference. Its team will also help exhibitors with PR.
The GBCS team working on the campaign is comprised of specialist pharma PR consultants Greg Simpson and Chrissie Walker.
The ICR has existed since 1978 and is the largest professional clinical research body in Europe.GBCS – first brought in by the ICR last year, and which has now been given a larger remit – handles PR for several other national and international exhibitions. Formed in 2002, it has 14 staff.
