Tonic Life lures Immergut to lead NY office

NEW YORK: Tonic Life Communications has snared Steven Immergut to be its first New York MD.

The London-headquartered agency has hired Immergut to ‘play an integral role’ in its North American growth strategy.

Immergut’s most recent role was SV-P in GCI Group’s healthcare practice, where he was also director of consumer health. Immergut previously worked at agencies including CPR Worldwide and Hill & Knowlton.

TLC co-founders Scott Clark, Oliver Parsons and Moira Gitsham formerly worked at CPR with Immergut. Clark said: ‘I’ve known Steven for years – he has great experience.’

TLC opened its New York office last summer, overseen by Elizabeth Park (PRWeek, 17 August 2006). She remains in a vice-president role, reporting to Immergut.

TLC also has an office in Dallas, which continues to be led by Jennifer Ryan.

GCI said Immergut had been replaced by Elinore White, who has previously worked at agencies including Ruder Finn.
