Hit or Miss... Tarmac on Top Gear

Footage of Richard Hammond's 288mph crash drew record viewing figures for Top Gear's first show of 2007 on Sunday. So hats off to Tarmac - which this week brought in Publicasity on a two year corporate brief - and Warwickshire County Council for landing a half-hour slot on the show. The PR stunt saw the programme's three presenters trying to resurface a road in a day. Jeremy Clarkson, Hammond and James May were kitted out in Tarmac gear and a logo for the show's 8.6 million viewers.
