PRWeek understands a contract between the Irish broadcaster and London-based consumer shop Braben will be signed within the next seven days.
The agency will bid to raise Setanta’s profile in eight months’ time before its football coverage goes head-to-head with BSkyB.
Setanta customer acquisitions director Brian Quinn declined to confirm Braben’s appointment. Braben also declined to comment.
Setanta continues to use PMPR in Scotland, and Powerscourt for financial PR.
SEPERATELY... Braben is no longer working with Flextech Television, the company behind TV channels Trouble, LIVINGtv and Bravo, writes Hannah Marriott.
MD Matt Bourn said that Braben had resigned the account late last year for ‘confidential’ business reasons, although Flextech said the agency had simply come to the end of its contract.
Flextech continues to retain Taylor Herring PR for a remit including LIVINGtv and Bravo.
Flextech said it was not on the hunt for another agency, with Braben’s remit now being handled in-house.
