Ericsson selects Nelson Bostock for UK campaign

Nelson Bostock Communications has emerged triumphant from a four-way pitch to promote Ericsson's UK telecoms infrastructure business.

The London agency’s brief centres around media relations targeting both business and trade press.

Details of the campaign were still being ironed out but PRWeek understands that the agency will publicise Ericsson’s wireless and broadband offerings.

David Curl, UK communications manager for Ericsson, would only say: ‘We haven’t completed [the appointment process] yet, but we are confident that Nelson Bostock will satisfy our needs very well.’

Director George Coleman will head the account at Nelson Bostock, reporting to Curl. The agency hunt began last autumn (PRWeek, 5 October 2006).

Ericsson is the world’s largest supplier of mobile services. It divested its handset division to create Sony Ericsson in 2001.
