Voluntary sector: pat yourself on the back

It was great to see how well the voluntary sector is doing in getting its messages across ('Legion appeal coverage breaks monthly record,' PRWeek, 8 Dec 2006).

Indeed, the CSV Make a Difference Day campaign, the UK's biggest single day of volunteering, gained 280 cuttings in November, and 507 the month before.

In this competitive market it's good to see that NGOs can compete with the big boys. Well done voluntary sector!
