Crosby replaces Dave Bennett, who quit to join Edelman late last year (PRWeek, 28 October 2006). The flagship Xbox account he managed has since followed him to Edelman (PRWeek, 12 January).
Crosby will be responsible for advising clients including Philips Consumer Electronics, as well as bringing in new business.
At Taylor Herring – which he left in November – Crosby worked on brands including Entertainment Rights, Chorion and Pioneer. He has previously worked at Kazoo Communications and Cake.
Taylor Herring has since promoted Peter Mountstevens to group account director. He has worked for the media and entertainment specialist since 2003 and will now work alongside co-founder James Herring to develop the agency’s consumer brands business.
SEPARATELY... MS&L has promoted Kelly Walsh, MD of its consumer operations, to interim CEO of its London operation.
The move comes as Nicholas Walters – CEO for the past four years – steps down from the role (PRWeek, 8 December 2006).
Walters told PRWeek in December that he wanted to ‘go back to the floor’ and take up a ‘senior consultancy role’ with MS&L during 2007. The agency said this week that Walters was no longer working in its London office but negotiations were ongoing for a role at the agency’s New York bureau.
Walsh, a US national, said she would not be taking the CEO role full-time but is working with global CEO Mark Hass and European president Anders Kempe on hunting for a replacement.
