Virgin Radio in agency rethink

Virgin Radio is reviewing its consumer PR strategy following the shock departure of its chief executive Fru Hazlitt last week.

The station has ceased to use The Outside Organisation and has said ‘informal’ talks have taken place with Shine Communications.

The station will continue to use Eulogy! for trade PR.

PR manager Cat Macdonald confirmed: ‘We are parting company with Outside and may take on extra help.’

But Macdonald said there were no plans to appoint a new agency in the short-term.
