Central London Partnership hires for top position

The Central London Partnership (CLP) has hired a former Westminster City Council PRO as its new comms chief.

Australian-born Rosey McGrath has joined as PR manager, reporting to chief executive Pat Brown.

Overseeing three staff, she takes over from acting PR manager Anna Barlow, who will continue to work with the organisation as a project-based freelance.

McGrath is covering corporate comms, PA and media work. ‘Future challenges will be defining Londoners’ role in the Olympics, creating public spaces in the capital and overseeing and advising on future transport projects,’ she said.

McGrath recently re-turned to the UK from a spell in Australia where she was media and policy adviser for the Council of Mayors in South-East Queensland.

The council represents 18 local governments.

McGrath was at Westminster from 1999 to 2001, and had a six-month stint as comms manager for the Bus Initiative, a Transport for London project.

‘Our objective, on behalf of our public and private sector members, is to ensure London remains an economic hub, attracting business and shoppers,’ she said.
