Virgin Active set for 'fun' activity

Virgin Active is to use Golden Goose PR as it begins a £20m refurbishment of the newly acquired Holmes Place chain.

The Holmes Place brand will be scrapped, with Golden Goose promoting the newly enlarged Virgin Active chain to families as well as traditional gym-goers.

Marketing director Tim Carter said: ‘We want to encourage the UK public to get moving and appreciate what fun it can be.'

Golden Goose, which beat Four Communications and Van Communications, will also promote the launch of Virgin Active Classic gyms.

Holmes Place incumbent Promote PR's contract expires this month.
