Parkinson's body hires for Cardiff

Cardiff-based PA start-up Positif Politics has landed a brief for the Parkinson's Disease Society in Wales.

Set up by ex-GJW Wales founder employee Daran Hill this spring (PRWeek, 17 March), Positif will focus on Welsh Assembly decision makers on behalf of the charity in the run-up to the scheduled May 2007 election.

After that, under the Government of Wales Act, the assembly will be able to pass more legislation independent of Westminster.

Hill said: ‘We want to develop broad coalitions, for example on mental health.'

Although it is a purely Wales-related brief, Hill is reporting to London-based campaigns manager Anjuli Veall, as well as the society's Wales manager Simon Hatch.

Positif has also recently won business from Asthma UK Cymru and renewed its contract with the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry Cymru Wales Industry Group.
