Web community brings in Spring

Habbo online is using Spring PR to help get kids more familiar with its site.

Habbo, one of the glut of online communities targeting 11 to 18-year-olds, is teaming up with pop stars such as Lily Allen and X-Factor winner Shayne Ward to encourage more teens to use its chat and gaming facilities.

The tie-ups have been organised by Spring PR, which is running a UK consumer campaign for the site after a non-competitive pitch.

Habbo claims more than 5.4 million users worldwide and is owned by Finnish-based interactive entertainment company Sulake.

Spring director Danielle Windsor added: ‘Jamelia is launching a salon and we aim to stage the world's biggest online pub-quiz with U2.'
