CONSUMER Stephanie Churchill PR has been hired by tennis legend Björn Borg to promote his self-named clothing label. The fashion specialist will launch the initial collection, of underwear and swimwear, next spring, although Selfridges & Co will stock the range in time for Christmas.

CORPORATE Hasgrove, the Manchester-based marcoms group, is looking for public affairs and PR agencies to buy after a successful £22.25m listing on AIM. The group used College Hill to represent it ahead of the listing after an agency search in the early autumn (PRWeek, 6 Oct).

AGENCY Capital MS&L is to establish a permanent office in Dubai headed by director Neil Doyle. The firm has been operating in the region since September.

CONSUMER Hennessy Cognac has taken on Pitch PR to promote its 50-year sponsorship of the Gold Cup at Newbury ahead of the steeplechase horse race on 25 November.

AGENCY Pinnacle Worldwide, the international network of PR firms that last month marked its 30th anniversary, has installed Hannemie Stitz as its first non-North American president. Stitz is CEO of Pinnacle member, Frankfurt-based Public Relations Partners.

CONSUMER The Communication Group has been contracted by East London regeneration body, the City Fringe Partnership, to look into establishing a London Jewellery Week. The agency will promote the idea to businesses and residents of the area.

CLARIFICATION The RNLI picture featured in last week's ‘Painful Pictures' feature was not sent in or endorsed by the RNLI press team. The RNLI took part in a joint sea-rescue event with the Royal Navy, which featured a photocall invite for photo-agencies. The picture came from one of the invited agencies, and was sent direct to The Guardian picture editor Roger Tooth.
