Gottheimer exits Ford for B-M post

WASHINGTON: Burson-Marsteller has appointed Josh Gottheimer as the ­global chair of its corporate and public affairs practices.

Based in Washington DC, Gottheimer - who is just 31 - joins from a role as director of strategic comms at Ford Motor Company.

At B-M he will report to worldwide president and CEO Mark Penn in a role that also carries the ­status of worldwide executive V-P.

In the late 1990s Gottheimer worked as a special assistant and speechwriter to then president Bill Clinton. He is also a former speech writer for presidential candidate John Kerry.

At Ford he oversaw ­comms strategy, corporate advertising and its Washington ­public affairs operation.
