Hoffman lures Fuse's Sherman to lead Euro push

Global tech consultancy The Hoffman Agency has recruited Fuse PR associate director Sarah Sherman to spearhead a charge for European business.

Sherman has joined the agency - which has 110 staff, most of whom are based across Asia-Pacific and in the US - in the London-based role of European MD.

The agency has just three staff in the UK, three in Germany and two in France.

Sherman said: ‘We expect to double in size in Europe by the end of 2007.'

She spent just over 12 months at Fuse, which was last week acquired by North American consultancy Racepoint Group (PRWeek, 3 November). She previously worked on a comms project for Centrica's IT department. For four years before that she was marcoms director (EMEA) at US supply-chain management company i2 Technologies. She is also ex-Weber Group.

Sherman reports to CEO Lou Hoffman - based at the firm's global HQ in San Jose, California - who has been acting head of the agency's European division for five years.

This week the agency moved its European head office from Surrey to London's Covent Garden.

The agency works across Europe for clients Entrust, SonicWALL, Spansion and Meru Networks.
