Let's meet at Morgan's, Swansea

Think understated elegance and contemporary chic and you are some way to visualising Morgan's - Swansea's only five-star boutique hotel and restaurant.

Situated in the centre of the city, at the bottom of its main street of pubs, clubs and restaurants, yet only minutes from the Gower coast, it's the sort of place you'd expect in a more suburban location. The owners have deftly refurbished the grade-II listed former port-authority building with some modern touches, such as comfy leather sofas and plush bar area. This mix of old and new spills into the upstairs restaurant. The ambience is quiet enough for a proper conversation but with enough buzz at lunchtime not to be overheard by the next table.

The constantly changing lunchtime menu - £11 for two courses and £15 for three - features fresh Welsh produce. Organic beef and venison pie, lamb and Talley goats' cheese are just some of the dishes on offer. The staff are helpful, and if lunch spills over into early evening, the champagne bar is an absolute must for cocktails.

You'll definitely return to Morgan's time and time again - be it for business lunch, brainstorming session, quick drink after work, or even night out.
