Hit or miss ... KFC bags kudos

KFC's axing of trans-fats in its cooking was digested positively by the media.

The move, promoted in the UK by retained agency Freud Communications, received almost blanket coverage in the broadsheets, with The Guardian announcing 'a rare change to Colonel Sanders' 50-year-old recipe' on its front page and The Times reporting KFC's pledge to keep its food 'finger lickin' good'. UK supermarkets have also been vocal on trans-fats, with Sainsbury's providing a spokesperson on the issue for BBC Breakfast.
