The Institute of Payroll Professionals has signed up its first PR agency, 3 Monkeys Communications, in an attempt to ‘sex up' the trade's image.
‘They no longer want to be perceived as mouthy back-room boys or stuffy,' said senior account director Julie Brown.
The campaign will see 3 Monkeys promoting ‘funky payrollers' in women's glossies as well as, more soberly, attempting to ensure firms comply with payroll legislation.
The institute held its annual awards this week, where 3 Monkeys hunted for ‘funky payrollers' to help with publicity.
