Illman set to host CIPR health event

'Patient groups and the pharma industry working ­together - good or bad PR?' is the topic of a forthcoming debate in London.

Former Guardian health editor John Illman will chair the event, which is being ­convened by the CIPR's Health & Medical and Fifth Estate sectoral groups, in conjunction with the Health Coalition Initiative.

Speakers include Psoriasis Association CEO Gladys Edwards, plus representatives from drugs firm Wyeth and Ketchum.

‘Partnership case studies' will be presented, while the benefits and pitfalls of ­patient groups and drug company co-operation will be discussed.

The event will take place  on Tuesday 21 November at the CIPR's HQ in St James's Square, kicking off at 6pm.
