Smith, a former chair of the APPC, started the PA arm of City firm College Hill last week as managing partner. Pending acceptance, it will take the APPC's membership to 35 consultancies.
Smith also revealed he has struck a client-sharing deal with former employer Citigate Public Affairs: both agencies will service his longstanding client, pharma trade body the British Generic Manufacturers' Association.
